The three Davey O’Brien National Quarterback Award Marquee Matchups for week seven of the college football season are all Saturday afternoon games kicking off simultaneously between teams rated among the top-25 with No. 2 Auburn at No. 3 Mississippi State, No. 9 TCU at No. 5 Baylor and No. 12 Oregon at No. 18 UCLA.
Throughout the season, the Davey O’Brien Award will highlight the best weekly quarterback matchups as the race for the oldest and most prestigious national quarterback award continues. Quarterbacks from all 128 NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision schools are eligible for the award until the field is narrowed to 16 semifinalists on Monday, Nov. 3.
Marquee Matchup #1: No. 2 Auburn (Nick Marshall) at No. 3 Mississippi State (Dak Prescott)

Nick Marshall has surpassed former Davey O’Brien National Quarterback Award winner Cam Newton for the most career 100-yard rushing games by an Auburn quarterback (7). He owns a pair of 200-yard passing, 100-yard rushing games this season for the undefeated Tigers.
The Davey O’Brien Quarterback of the Week in two of the past three weeks, Dak Prescott ranks fourth in the nation in points responsible for (120) and ninth in total offense (335.6 yards per game). He has guided the Bulldogs to a 5-0 start and the highest ranking in school history.
Marquee Matchup #2: No. 9 TCU (Trevone Boykin) at No. 5 Baylor (Bryce Petty)

Trevone Boykin is one of just six players from a Power Five conference currently leading his team in both passing yards (1,176) and rushing yards (260). The junior, who ranks eighth nationally in total offense (359.0), accounted for 395 yards and two touchdowns in TCU’s upset of Oklahoma.
Bryce Petty headlines a Baylor offense that leads the nation in scoring at 51.0 points per game. The senior and 2013 award semifinalist has thrown a touchdown in 17 straight games in which he has played. This year, he has contributed 12 touchdowns in four games (nine passing, three rushing).
Marquee Matchup #3: No. 12 Oregon (Marcus Mariota) at No. 18 UCLA (Brett Hundley)

Oregon junior Marcus Mariota is responsible for 114 points thus far this season, the fifth-highest total in the country. He has thrown for 1,411 yards and 15 touchdowns while completing more than 70 percent of his passing attempts. He also has scored rushing (three) and receiving (one).
2013 award semifinalist Brett Hundley is back among the nation’s best during his junior year. Despite battling an early-season injury, the UCLA star leads the nation in completion percentage (.728), ranks fourth in yards per attempt (10.48) and is fifth in passing efficiency (181.4).
